Many Internet Gurus have been around for many years, and have some good advice. Most of the eBooks are nearly the same content, just rehashed. They are promoting their own work which is what any marketer needs to do.

There is no easy way to make an honest living on the internet and anyone that tries to tell you that there is is not being truthful, or honest. They are usually trying to sell you their product or an affiliate product.

Some people do get lucky and seem to get successful early, others struggle for a long time and never see much success.

There are things that you have to learn, and no one can teach you them better than yourself.

You could start by building a few free sites, like Squidoo, hub-pages, and blogger, sites that will allow you to place AdSense ads and affiliate ads on them. Build yourself at least ten or more and then start sending traffic to them. This will get your feet wet, so to speak.

Pick topics that you like, enjoy, have an interest in, or are knowledgeable about.

You can then move up to getting a hosting account with a good reputable hosting service, one that allows you unlimited domains, and also has the ability to allow you to install WordPress easily.

There are plenty of places to learn all that you need to know to do these tasks, for free.

There is a lot to learn, but just try to learn as you go.
The most important thing to do is to get some free sites up and start driving traffic to them so that you can begin to receive some earnings from the ads that you will have placed on them.

Do not expect riches over night.

You can also create a product about something that you know a lot about. It is not that difficult and once you get going you will surprise yourself.

One other thing to keep in mind is avoid buying any more eBooks that make insane promises. There are a few that really do deliver, but many only tell the same things in different words. You can end up with a lot of useless information that just takes up space on your computer.

Remember these 3 rules for online success:

1. Know or understand how to get your own blog, or website setup
2. Know how to implement compelling copy onto your site
3. And know how to get targeted traffic to your site
