This is probably the best all-around free keyword tool available. This tool needs to be number one in your arsenal. Just do not completely depend upon it for your search needs. Combine it with the results from some of the others in this list, and use it with Google Zeitgeist which reveals online search information in global, regional, past and present search trends. All of these tools are available for you to explore, and learn from.

This is used by many Marketers and website owners to find good keywords.

This is an excellent tool that correlates with Google Trends and can give you very valuable results for good keywords and popular searches.

This is one of the best free keyword tools available. It does not limit your searches and results like some of the other tools to the top 100, and they email you the results.

This tool is a little difficult to understand until you read the help section. It is a valuable resource once understood.

Wordpot

Wordpot gets its results from multiple search engines across the internet and combines the results. Wordpot currently has a data base of over 60 million search terms.

This a free tool from SeoBook that has options to combine your search to build keyword phrases. They have a video tutorial if needed.

Keyword Group Detection

This tool helps you find groups of words from the pool of online queries that are related or similar to keywords that you enter. To detect the complete group, type in a keyword.

Digitalpoint

This site has two tools that are free, the Search Engine Keyword Tracker & Keyword Ranking Tool. They have 94,462 registered users but require that you install a PHP script on your web server for the keyword ranking tool.

Serpanalytics

This tool contains the top 100,000 keywords i.e. top Paid Keywords, top Searched Keywords, top keywords ranked on Searches and Cost per Click.

Keywordplayground

This free keyword tool has been built using the Wordtracker database.

Google Sktool

If you looking for a niche, this Google tool will give you the ability to divide your search into categories through multiple levels and get a list of over 600 keywords (along with monthly search volume and CPC information) related to the keyword phrase that you are using.

Using English

This is a collection of word lists which allow you to examine words more closely, and provides descriptions of words alongside dictionary definitions and a list of related words.

This tool is free to use even after the trial period is over. It comes within a suite of tools and if you do not want to purchase the suite you can continue to use the keyword tool for free.

This is an excellent tool that allows you to find information about specific sites very quickly. The options that it contains are too many to list. Give it a try. You will find it very useful.
