What Is Micro Niche Marketing?

So What Is Micro Niche Marketing?
Micro Niche Marketing is marketing a product, your own, or an affiliate product to a Niche (a specialized market).
A Niche is a segment of populace that has common interests, needs, desires, wants or wishes (the segment of a market on which a specific product is focused upon).
Micro Niche Marketing can be achieved with paid advertising, and free classifieds, but most commonly it is accomplished with a website or blog combined with advertising.
A Niche can be drilled down and separated into segments within sections, or Micro Niches (Sub Niches).
The key factor being that as a Micro Niche Marketer you do not want to focus entirely on only one segment of a particular Niche, unless it is highly sought after by the target audience or buying public, and does not have a lot of competition.
It is best to begin with generalized keywords or a Niche Topic and then include layers within the underlying aspects of that Niche Topic.
In the very simple example below we started with Green Products and brainstormed some of the related areas, subjects, topics, and products.

There are many more layers, Micro Niches, and product ideas, than this simple example reveals and if you use a good keyword tool and combine it with search tools many more will become evident.

The point is that do not make the mistake of so many Niche Marketers and focus entirely upon only one segment of a Niche Market, or you will reduce your potential earnings from the start.
- Take the Micro Niche Market and locate some products that already have potential customers and a market, but always remember that you should also offer alternatives, and related products.
- There will always be some people that may be interested in products within the Micro Niche Market that you have chosen, but that you have not covered within your campaign (products that you have not focused on but that are within your chosen Niche).
- As you proceed in your Micro Niche Marketing you can determine what is prosperous and what is not receiving any traffic or interest.
- You can expand your Micro Niche Marketing to include more products and related products if you began with a generalized Niche Subject or Topic.
- If you begin with a very specialized targeted Micro Niche then it is more difficult to expand your Niche to include other products and Niche Segments or Micro Niches.
- There are successful Micro Niche Marketers that have only one product and offer no alternatives but this is the exception not the rule.
- When a single Micro Niche Product is your focus you will find that you are not only competing with the product creators and their salespeople, but with other Affiliate Marketers.
- If the competition is well financed, organized, and overpopulated, the available market is reduced exponentially and dramatically.

The more marketing options you have the more actual sales you can make.
Once you have decided upon a Micro Niche Market to target you need to expound not only on the Niche Product’s merits but upon the merits that will help the potential customer or buyer (write about potential customer uses of the Niche Product rather than the product’s uses).

There may be many different reasons for someone searching for a Niche Product.
If your approach to Micro Niche Marketing is based solely upon the product and its virtues then you are neglecting the customers’ uses for the product.
One Micro Niche Product may have a thousand different uses.

Music and Video Markets are two highly competitive Niche Markets.
Although these two Niche Markets have a lot of competition they also have a lot of room within them for more marketers (downloading, watching, listening, editing, creating videos, or music).
Movie downloads is another Micro Niche Market that has plenty of room for new marketers.
Anything to do with fixing computer problems is very lucrative and continues to have plenty of room for competition with 1000’s of related applications for new Micro Niche Marketers.
New Software Programs that help with almost anything imaginable is a Micro Niche Market that is so broad and generalized that it will continue to grow, and offer new marketers a place to begin Micro Niche Marketing.
These are just a few examples of Niche Markets. There are thousands upon thousands and thousands more of Micro Niches within Niches.
It only takes some brainstorming, researching what people are consistently searching for over time, and then using a good keyword tool to uncover the keywords that are being used within the searches.

- With these tools you can drill down and locate Micro Niches.
- You will see what is currently being searched.
- More money and more profit for you to keep.
