Forums are very important for anyone that wants to make money online. Forums provide invaluable information about all aspects of online earning, and should be a place that anyone new to the Internet includes in their weekly regimen.

• All forums have rules and they can be very different from one another. Get to know the community by browsing the threads and posts. Hang out for a while and introduce yourself. Usually there is a separate area set aside for introductions.

• Start browsing and get to know the other posters. Remember forums are communities and a lot of these people have known each other for awhile. They may even be doing some business together. They can be great places to find JV partners and get discount prices.

• Forums give you the opportunity to learn and find answers. It is a good practice to visit forums and read about subjects that interest you, or that you are thinking about researching as a subject for building an income from home.

• Most forums do not allow new members to post links in the posts or signature until after 10-15 posts. This is to make sure that they are not spammers and are sincere. But you should join all of them because the longevity of membership also counts toward your legitimacy.

• A few forums charge membership fees, yearly, or lifetime. Before paying to join any forum you should check them out with an Internet search and find out what others are saying about them.

• Join a few free forums in the beginning and get accustomed to the rules and the content that they provide. Once the members know that you are serious then you will be more apt to be accepted and helped with any sincere questions you may want answers for.

• Forums about topics that you are familiar with and have some expertise in are good places to start with, that way you have something to share and contribute, while getting accustomed to the way that they operate.

• The importance of online marketing forums and niche forums can not be stressed enough, and joining a few forums should be a requirement for anyone new to marketing or trying to make money online.

• You should always check if the forum, article directory, website or blog that you are trying to get backlinks to have a “No Follow” or “Do Follow” attribute in place. This can be done by clicking on the VIEW TAB of your browser and scrolling down to read how it is listed.

• The view tab in your browser allows you to see the html of the site that you are viewing and can supply you with a lot of information. When you become familiar with reading and writing in the html and PHP languages it will be a day of awakening, and you will probably laugh at how simple it is.

Have fun with the forums and make some friends. Many of the people are there looking for friends, others are searching for contacts and information; some are there to sell their products.

The most important thing to remember is that if a forum is not right for you and you have no reason to be there then do not join. Your contributions have to be based upon sincerity and worth. Treat forums as you would treat yourself and your friends. If they can not offer you anything then do not waste your time or their time by posting for the sake of a backlink. This is treated as spamming.

We all know what spam is. It is the unwanted email that we receive. On a website or blog it is unwanted and meaningless comments that we have to sort through and delete.
